Disappointed by this light
I was disappointed by this light. 1) FIRST -- IT IS NOT MADE IN THE USA. Before I placed my order, I called ShadesofLight to ask where this light was manufactured. They told me it was manufactured in their warehouse. I decided that a Made in the USA product was worth the 2 week wait. The light arrived, and it is a Minka Lavery, a brand that is manufactured in China and is available at all the big box stores. I had already delayed my contractor 2 weeks for this light, so I decided to just install it. 2) LIGHTING IS VERY DIM because the glass shades are really dark. 3) DIFFICULT TO CHANGE THE BULBS. This light must be removed and unscrewed from the wall in order to change the lightbulbs (4 screws). 4) The screws are very visible on the underside of the light. This was a terrible purchase. I should probably return this, but I then need to rehire the contractor. Would not recommend.
Disappointed by this light.
I was disappointed by this light. I give it 1.5 stars. 1) When I initially ordered the light, I called and I asked where it was made, and the representative said it was made at the Shades of Light factory. I thought I was waiting for a “Made in the USA” light, so I waited the two weeks order time, even though my contractor needed it sooner. After two weeks, the light arrived, and it was a mass market Minka Laverty Made in China. 2) Secondly, the light is very dim because the shades are very opaque white. 3) I have mounted it horizontally, and the screws are clearly visible underneath. 4) the contractor showed me how to change the light bulbs, and I need to take down the entire light to change the bulb. Overall poor design and made in China. The people at Shades of light were friendly, but gave me the wrong information.
