Picture lights come in several styles: traditional shapes in antique gold finish; contemporary slimline tube picture lights in chrome, black, or nickel; and small minimalist spot lights. Attach the picture light to the frame or the wall. Pictures should be lit from a 30-45 degree angle to prevent glare. Look for chrome reflectors inside the fixture to maximize light output.

When selecting a wireless, cordless, rechargeable, or battery operated picture light, pay close attention to the number of hours it will work before you need to recharge or replace the batteries. LED battery operated picture lights have the best color and the longest life.
