My wife purchased this light in the polished nickel finish and the gray and cream euro fitter 16" drum shade. The one complaint I have with this light is the fact it is not adjustable. Standard ceilings are 8-9'. This light was almost sitting on our table when I held it up. I went to every hardware store and lighting store in town and couldn't find anything that would shorten it. I finally went to a machinist and he said to make a piece of tubing that would work for that to shorten it would cost roughly $100 or more. I ended up taking off the bottom piece which has the ring on it cutting the wire and just using the top extension tube. I had to wire nut the wires back together and put them through the top tube. It looks nice and puts out nice light but just know that if you have standard height ceilings you'll have to do more work. |

I bought this product assuming I could take one of the extensions out to fit my 8 foot ceilings. I was wrong. My husband ended up cutting the wire and using wire nuts to make it work. They should make a couple different extensions for this product. |
