These fixtures are really nice. However the directions indicate that they are to be installed with the opening and bulb facing up. All pictures online show the sconces facing down. I'm unsure which is the proper way at this point, but they still look good. There was no switch or pull, so we had to add a pull to them and drill a hole in the base for it. Shipping was also high.Shades of Light Response: Hello Lauren, This sconce (and the coordinating vanity strips) are designed to give you the option to install the lights either up or down.) This light was also designed to be hard wired to a wall switch but it sounds like you are creative and talented enough to come up with your own unique design. Thank you for your patronage
I have been searching for a light fixture in polished nickel. This one one was the right price and right vintage feel I was going for. Looks great in my powder bath.
Shipping fee of $18.00 seemed a little too excessive though.
Great light, great style. It's definitely an ambience light with the dimmer bulbs- I was going for that. I bought the bronze and it's true to color as it's online picture. Happy buyer!
I bought two of these light fixtures in the oil-rubbed bronze. One for each side of our vanity mirror. They are well-made and look beautiful. I have been very happy with all items I have ordered from Shades of Light. Good quality and easy online ordering!
